Delete your iStory account

This page is for the iStory app and website by iCtory. Use it to request that your account and associated data be deleted. You do not need to be signed in to read these steps.

How to request deletion

Open https://ictory.com/login and sign in to iStory / iCtory with the same email (or Google account) you use in the app.
Go to Account settings: https://ictory.com/settings/profile
Open Danger zone.
Tap Delete account.
Enter your password and confirm. This cannot be undone.

If you cannot sign in, email hello@ictory.com from the address on the account and ask iCtory to delete your iStory account.

Data that is deleted

When deletion completes, iCtory removes the iStory account profile and associated personal data, including:

name, username, email, and profile details (headline, bio, photos)
stories, drafts, chapters, and related media you own
comments, follows, likes, bookmarks, and messages
in-app settings and login sessions
earnings history and subscriptions tied to the account, except records listed below

Data that may be kept, and for how long

Payment, wallet, and tax records	Accounting and tax law	Up to the period required by Tanzanian accounting and tax rules, then deleted or anonymized
Copyright claims, signatures, and evidence	Dispute and safety history	Kept while needed for those disputes, then deleted or anonymized
Security logs and bans	Prevent repeat abuse	Kept only as long as needed for security, then deleted or anonymized
Backups	Routine backup rotation	Removed on the next backup cycle (typically within 30 days)
Purchased stories other people already paid for	Existing lawful access	Until those access rights expire or are unwound

After you delete

Sign out of the iStory app. You will not be able to sign in with that account. Full details are in the iCtory Privacy Policy.
